From time immemorial the nations, who live in the Bulgarian lands have used the fictile properties of the red clay and have created unique ceramic art. One of the most famous ceramic schools in Bulgaria is the Troyan school - it has preserved the elements of the Trakian, Roman and Slavic art. Through the ages these elements have enlarged and developed, they have transformed in original tradition. The Troyan Ceramic school is unique phenomenon in the national artistic culture, it is still alive today.
